Grooper’s next minor version, 24.1, is almost in Beta, and it has a neat new trick (well, a few of them, actually). This version will introduce the idea of an AI Assistant.
Yeah, I know – “AI washing” is a thing, and we’re sensitive to its effects. But in all the hype are some incredible new capabilities.
These capabilities are allowing us to solve problems with Grooper that have not been possible before. We’ve talked to many Grooper clients who struggle to find their data, even though they have several content management systems.
Isn’t that why you bought an ECM/ECS system?
Of course, it is. The problem is that all of the current systems are limited because they’ve always limited how much data you capture for use in retrieval. Even systems with full-search capabilities still struggle to produce usable results.
That’s a problem.
How Grooper Makes Your Data ‘Findable’
Enter the Grooper AI Assistant.
Grooper can now configure any CMIS repository to be vector-indexed. It then makes the data available to an LLM-based assistant – a chatbot. All of this happens inside your secure system, by the way.
Grooper can link your content systems to a single assistant, such as:
- OpenText
- Hyland
- Box
- SharePoint
- Network shares
- Documents processed by Grooper
- Many more
A unified search interface is better than a full-text search because it’s vector-indexed. That means the index can differentiate nuances in language the same way LLMs can. You find what you’re looking for – you get the data you need.
How You Get an Accurate Data ChatBot
But wait, there’s more.
These indexes can be linked to a specific OpenAI model. This means the LLM uses your indexes (your data) to help guide its responses. Because the LLM has your content as guardrails, the responses you receive are much more accurate.
This technique is called RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). It’s a proven technique to make AI responses more trustworthy and accurate.
But again, that’s not all.
Grooper also empowers you to link any data source to this same assistant. In addition to indexed documents, these data sources include:
- Databases
- Web services
- Web sites
This AI Assistant can now use all of your reference data at its “fingertips” to assist a knowledge worker with research or work. It can even update databases in real time.
The possibilities and use cases are endless. The AI Assistant will be available to outside applications as well. You’ll be able to expose your new chatbot to the people who need this data the most! Chat with your data through Teams, Slack, or your chatbot.
Combine the power of AI and your documents and data into a chatbot you can interact with through natural language. And it’s the same platform you’re already using to streamline your document processing.
So, if you still struggle to find information in your systems, let me know!
NOTE: Keep an eye out for Grooper 24.1. The AI assistant will be available with that release (and sooner in beta).
And it’s almost here!
